Pacific Birth Collective

Island of Maui

We are a professional community-based collective creating a cohesive, sustainable structure for networking, education and advocacy in birth & wellness choices for island families.

We are the infrastructure in which our Maui community can Educate, Unify and Advocate for birth and wellness choices.
These are our three pillars, our areas of impact.

A structure to provide birth, wellness and sexuality education to the community, including programs and workshops for high risk populations, underserved populations and teen.

A structure to provide high quality trainings and educational opportunities for professionals working with families during the childbearing year.

A structure to offer community conversations and education (Village Meetings)

A structure for island wide professionals (including, but not limited to, midwives, OB’s nurses, doulas, massage therapists, family therapists, acupuncturists, lactation consultants, photographers, etc.) to network, share and connect with regular meetings, trainings, online directory and working committees.

A structure for island families to create community and connect to resources and services and to actively engage in improving birth and wellness choices on Maui.

A structure to advocate for birth and wellness choices in our local hospital system, as well as legislation concerning options in birth in Maui County and Statewide. A platform to house and promote the voice of the community’s needs.

Aloha! Thank you for your interest in Pacific Birth Collective Maui! Please use this contact form to let us know your ideas and thoughts about how PBC can serve our community, your family and/or your business!

At the heart of Pacific Birth Collective is a virtual community center based on the premise that pre-conception, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period are milestone events in the continuum of life. These experiences profoundly affect babies, mothers, fathers, and families, and have important and long-lasting effects on society. As our membership grows we anticipate the ability to co-create and promote family-friendly businesses, support practitioners and care givers that advocate and advance the cause of family-friendly care, provide free to low-cost services to underserved communities and encourage our members to call for events and educational offerings that bring families together and foster strong connections in our island neighborhoods.
