Aloha! Congratulations on your Pregnancy!
Mahalo for considering my Birth Doula Care Services.
I am a Mother of Four and a Combat Veteran Spouse.
For over 19 years, I have been beyond grateful and happy to have been called to serve the Birthing Ohanas of Maui County, throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth and immediate postpartum journey. Through my own Four Birth Experiences; Three of which were in Hospitals unmedicated and my fourth at Home in Water, and one Miscarriage before my fourth baby was born, and being a Birth Doula for over 205 births, I have realized how important it is to feel secure in the labor and birthing space environment. I believe that Mothers of all walks of life deserve to feel safe, heard, well informed and cared for with a compassionate, empathic, and kind listening heart. The Mothers needs for physical comfort, information, encouragement and support are the main focus of my attention before, during and immediately after their beautiful baby is born. I work with the Partner and Ohana to help them feel more informed and confident in their own abilities to support and encourage the Mother as well. And as much as possible, I create a calm supportive environment during labor and birth. I facilitate positive well informed, shared decision making, and communication with all Clinical Care Providers.
I have come to know that how supported and well cared for a Mother feels through the process of labor and birth, makes a huge difference in preserving a positive memory and having greater satisfaction with the Birth.
“There is no right or wrong way to give birth, only each individual unique woman’s way to give birth in her own intuitive way.” I appreciate being considered to be your Birth Doula, as your trustworthy guide in your own unique Pregnancy, Labor and Birthing Journey!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my Ohana. I like long sunrise or sunset walks on the beach, taking photos, swimming and snorkeling in the ocean, collecting sea shells and rocks, driving up to the Summit of Haleakala, hiking, painting with watercolor, drawing, and singing with the Maui Choral Arts.
Please reach out to me by text 808.283.7139 or email
anytime! Mahalo nui loa
