Darla has a diverse media and executive management background spanning Nonprofit, Telecommunications, Government, Business, Arts & Culture industries. Some of these include leading the start-up of Akaku: Maui Community Television, being on the start-up management team at Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, and start-up of the initial First Friday / Maui Town Parties on Maui. Change management and revitalization projects include the historic Iao Theater, A&B Sugar Museum and two mainland museum and performance spaces. Her company, 360 Social Business, LLC provides website design, content, social media management, general business and marketing consulting under the heading 360MarketingVision.com.

Darla’s other hat is in environmental advocacy, producing and hosting a commercially broadcast public affairs show on environmental and related Hawaiian cultural topics distributed to 14 stations statewide, and serving as the communications coordinator for Sustainable Pacific, a Maui-based company that develops responsible, resilient, and sustainable business models that regenerate environmental resources, create economic prosperity, stimulate local economies, and foster thriving communities.
